Starlight Children's Foundation was founded in 1982 and is the inspiration of actress Emma Samms and her cousin film producer Peter Samualson. The international headquarters are located in Los Angeles with chapters throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. Starlight Children's Foundation Washington State is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the State of Washington and was incorporated in 1993. Starlight has become successful thanks to the funding and support of hundreds of individuals and corporations, special events, cause-marketing promotions and in-kind support. Over 88% of the funds raised go directly to support programs.
Starlight offers many opportunities to become actively involved through volunteer wish granting, fund raising and administrative support.
